ABOUT
SIENNA BROWN SAILING

Passionate about sailing and the journey to become an Olympian

Hi, my name is Sienna and I'm a high-performance athlete competing in sailing. I am aiming to go to the 2028 Los Angeles and 2032 Brisbane games and want you to follow my journey there.

A little bit about me and how I came to be a sailor...

I've been sailing on Pittwater, a small waterway in the Northern Beaches NSW since I was eight when I first started in an Optimist. My dad, an enthusiastic sailor, introduced me to the sport and I instantly fell in love with the thrill of the wind and the waves.

From there, I progressed through the ranks, moving from the Optimist to the 29er, which I absolutely loved. I have undoubtedly had numerous highs and lows over my journey, but what makes me stand out from the others is my determination and humble work ethic as I persistently push towards bettering myself every day.

I’m setting my sights on a new challenge, pursuing an Olympic journey in the 470. As a sailor, I am dedicated to pushing the limits of performance and inspiring others to pursue their passion. I want to look back on my experiences and know that I might have set an example to the girls around me to stay in sailing as it's an amazing sport that transformed my life. My journey is fueled by a relentless pursuit of excellence, and I am excited to share my experiences with you. I place a great deal of importance on my support system as without it, I would not be where I am today. I am so grateful for all the help from my family, friends, local sailing club, coaches and training partners. Stay updated on my progress and join me on this incredible adventure.
